Email inssue

  • Hey,

    I just imported some users from an CSV file to my WordPress, but the plugin sends automatically an information email with the user and password to each CSV’s user.

    I want to disable this function, how can I do it?

    Good morning,

    @fabiangothman in “Mail options” tab you can choose to disable automattic mail sending.

    Please change the default for “Do you wish to send this mail also to users that are being updated? (not only to the one which are being created)” to “No” – i.e. unchecked. It is too easy to run an import whose sole purpose is to update user meta for existing users and leave this box checked resulting in a confusing “Welcome” email about a new user account to be sent to long-established users. It should be necessary to explicitly request an email to be sent to existing users. This has caused us a lot of trouble – first trying to figure out what was sending a “Welcome” email and then apologizing to everyone.

    @hbmacp,

    Good afternoon, this options was already disabled by default (in a fresh installation). Anyway I have “forced” the default value to be sure.

    In a fresh installation you should not have problems and yes, before making any update have a look on this little things.
