Default membership doesn’t get assigned to new users

  • Hi,
    I’ve just installed Membership 2, set it up, set up a few membership levels – including the Default Membership.
    However, at this point when new users register, their Membership Level is listed as “None”, while I would expect it to be “Default Membership”.
    I’ve also set up a Standard Membership, which is free – and still new users fall into the “none” bucket.
    How do I set it up so that users who register go under the Default (or any other, non-none) membership?

    Hello @billmondei,

    Default membership is a system membership – it will not be shown for member, you can’t force it to any user on your site, it is automatically applied to all users that are logged in and don’t have any other membership.

    I’ve also set up a Standard Membership, which is free – and still new users fall into the “none” bucket.

    They must join that membership to be members of it. I tried to test that on your site but seems that Membership is disabled there.
