• The tag ‘amp-ad extension .js script’ is missing or incorrect, but required by ‘amp-ad’. This will soon be an error.

I installed your plugin a few days ago on a client site and they do not have this tag missing. Why is it missing on my site?

I built them with the same plugins and theme.

I am using the paid extension for AMP Ads and the only way this issue disappears is when I turn off that extension.

Please, HELP! I’m a publisher and I’m desperate!

    Hi @havig

That’s extremely strange. But the ads are showing up on your site which means that amp-ad script is loading but then how can it show that it’s not loading?

Since when did you start seeing this error?

    Hi Ahmed,
A few days before submitting this ticket. I was emailed and told this was a bug that was going to be fixed?
    I don’t think it’s a bug. Please, help!!!
    Thank you so much!!

Also, the AMP-Ad extension does show on the home page but not on the posts. I don’t know if this helps.

@ahmed if you look at the code of the AMP page (not the home page) the scripts are not being called – I only see them on the home page.

I don’t know if this happened from before but Search Console did not report it or it’s a new thing.

On the other hand, I freshly installed the plugin on a Client’s site and hers show perfectly. How can html disappear from the code, right?

    @ahmed,

Should I open a new thread? For some reason, wordpress does not send me an email when you reply. And I believed when your team told me this was a bug that was going to be fixed.

Because I just updated your plugin and this is still an issue.

The Amp-ads does not load. There is a problem with the amp-ads paid extension as when I disable it, this doesn’t happen.

Should I look for a different plugin to show ads on amp?

Search Console shows 222 pages with errors (basically, 99% of them) and it doesn’t show when first detected (only last detected).

    Here’s a sample:

    Details:
The tag ‘amp-ad extension .js script’ is missing or incorrect, but required by ‘amp-ad’. This will soon be an error.
    AMP URL:
    https://bodasyweddings.com/industrial-wedding-venues-in-new-york/amp/
    Canonical URL:
    https://bodasyweddings.com/industrial-wedding-venues-in-new-york/
    Last detected: 10/21/17

If I don’t hear from you shortly, I will assume, that you don’t get to see my replies and open a new ticket. No problem, I will copy all of this data.

    Thanks for your help.

When I look at the start date of Search Console detecting these issues, it was 10/2/17. No errors detected on 10/1/17

    Does this help?
