What am I doing wrong? Posting alignment problem

    For 2 days now I have been racking my brain trying to figure out how to post an article and cannot seem to get anything right. I simply want to have a small thumbnail on the left of the excerpt but for some reason it keeps aligning the image with the Title of the article. Here is a screenshot I took:
