cannot edit publishing status, visibility, time

    I have just recently upgraded from the WP legacy version 2.0.11 to WP 2.7 using a custom theme. For the most part, things have gone relatively smoothly (cough).

    There remain a few glitches though. The primary one is that in the administration area, under posts – edit, I cannot edit the status, visibility, or publishing time. Clicking on these links does nothing. (I can do this if I select “quick edit”) Nor can I go between “HTML” and “Visual”.

    All plugins seem to be working and all plugins are upgraded to their latest versions.

    I have searched this forum as best I can. In the thread entitled “cannot edit publish dates in either version“, altoyes had a similar problem:

    there are 3 editing links (and 1 delete link) in publish section.

    1 Status: Published Edit
    2 Visibility: Public Edit
    3 Published on: Jan 6, 2009 @ 7:59 Edit

    when i click on 1 there is no movement or response anywhere
    when i click on 2 the page jumps down
    when i click on 3 there is no movement or response anywhere

    Sadly, the replies did not contain the answer to my problem and I hope it is okay that I have started a new thread. Any ideas? (I really hope I don’t have to uninstall and reinstall everything again!)

    I have re-uploaded wp-includes folder and can now edit publishing status, visibility, time AND toggle between visual and HTML.

    The whole problem was due to an error I made in uploading the updated version of the wp-includes folder (It’s pretty remarkable that the blog worked at all, considering the number of files that were missing!)

    I am somewhat embarrassed to admit that the problem is simply user error. But very relieved that things are now working correctly.

    I already re-upload my wp-includes folder but I still have the problem.

    What’s wrong? please help me. ;(

    I also have the same problem…has anyone fixed this?
