• The google error I receive is – “The text (CDATA) inside tag ‘style amp-custom’ contains ‘CSS !important’, which is disallowed.”

I understand I need to remove !important tags which I used in the custom CSS settings for the plugin (AMP Options> Design > Global Options> CSS).

I’ve since removed these, cleared my cache on both the browser and the W3 Total cache plugin however I still have the error and still see !important tags when viewing the source code CSS.

Is there somewhere else that these tags are being stored? Is the CSS still being cached?

bump… I’ve included a screenshot. You can clearly see the highlighted !important tag that needs removing however, I cant figure out where to remove it. I cleared all !important tags from my CSS in the AMP settings panel. Is there another stylesheet somewhere that’s overriding? Caching issue?

    Hi @ald9506

That’s Strange, yes, the !important tag is not allowed and it’s coming from the file but Did you tried to modify any core plugin or something like that?

Are you sure you have removed it from all the places? Because to me it looks like there is still customizations where the !important tag is there.

I’ve checked everywhere i have no other AMP plugins that misght have caused this. Any other ideas. All Custom CSS in AMP>Settings>design>Global has been checked as well as appearance>CSS.

    What else can i try?

    Hi @ald9506

I would recommend you to do this.

    1. Re-install the plugin. If that does not fixes the issue then….

    2. Send us an email from https://ampforwp.com/support/ and Our team will have a look into it.
