New Account in localhost

  • Hi everybody,
    I’m trying to put a new account who has to work with me on wordpress. I added her but when I enter with the credential I receive an error message which says that “the account has not the permissions”.
    My doubt is if the account has to be added also on the server on phpMyAdmin and if I can do it with the site in localhost.
    If the answer is “yes” I discover that I have no database on phpMyAdmin. Should I have to import it from my computer and then add the account over there?

    Sorry if the question is stupid. I hope someone could help me

  • No, you should not have to add anything thru phpMyAdmin. You should simply add a user from within the WP admin panel and that is all. You mentioned you have no database. WordPress requires a database to operate. Are you running on a web host or locally on your computer?

    I’m working locally on my computer. Is there the possibility for another user to work on my local site? I think not. I just want to be sure

    The short answer will be NO for most users. This is because it would require some good knowledge of web servers and WordPress to setup.

    Is what I think about. I have no so many knowledge about wordpress programming so I think is not possible for me. Do you think is there a possibility to help me?
