Moving from dev to production

    Hi

    Is there anything i should be aware of when i move my site from https://dev.mysite.com to https://mysite.com ??

    I am thinking of using duplicator or moving it myself using an update URL plugin, but was wondering if you have any advice, such as are there any update URL plugins that work with WP Lister for ebay and WP Lister for Amazon and ebay import

    Or are there any reasons why some of these plugins might not work such as serialisation of your tables etc

    Or do you have an SQL Query that you use to replace URLs when moving your sites from dev to production testing

    Hello albertramsbottom.

    When migrating from one site to another, there is only one thing we recommend and that is to change the “Update Interval” setting on WP-Lister’s general settings to “Manually” right before making the switch. Then on the new site you can go ahead and re-enable the “Update Interval” to whatever time interval setting you had set before. This is to ensure that WP-Lister will not be “working” on the same processes twice which can cause problems.

    where is hat setting, is it in WP lister for Amazon, Ebay or import from ebay, or all 3?

    Hi

    I have noticed that the images in my html description on ebay have links back to my staging site

    How will this effect moving my site to a new url?

    Will all listings need to be updated?

    The URL of the image in your shortcodes should automatically change to your new domain when you migrate to the new site.

    Yes they will in wordpress and woo but not on ebay, so I suspect that the listings will need to be updated before I delete the staging site, otherwise the ebay links from shortcodes will remain from the staging site

    When i migrate my site and do search and replace for the URLs, this will have no effect on the HTML description in ebay ??

    That is correct, you will likely have to revise the eBay listings in WP-Lister to push the change in the URLs over to eBay.
