Best way to handle images (aligning)?

What is the best way to handle images and aligning of them?

I have many problems with TINYMCE advanced.

How do people solve this.
Often I don’t want text to wrap around and just center an image and continue text below.
It should be simple, but it isn’t.

Where do I control or rather how do I set up wordpress to let me handle these things like whether or not I want textwrap or if I want to align the image in center or right instead of left.

Please note:
I am stuck with Wp 3.6.3 though (as other bugs keep me from 3.7 and no one replies to my threads here).
