Redirect to cart setting confusing behavior

Using the normal checkout with prices showing, where customers can complete a standard order and/or request a quote. I want to redirect to cart after successful addition from the product page for a regular sale, and logically, a successful request for quote should then also redirect to the Quote Request page (using the default page included with the plugin).

But instead it redirects to the cart page, which is empty, of course.

(I’ve spent an insane amount of time trying to find the plugin that will do what we need. This is close, very close, so I’m holding my breath and most appreciative of your assistance.)
