• I have trouble uploading a ~60MB MP3 file in a fresh installation of wordpress (no plugins installed). Small files (~3MB) upload without trouble.

When the upload is finished, I get an unspecific error message (no further description of the error; NOT the HTTP Error) and the file won’t show up in wordpress.

Strange thing is, the file shows up via FTP (and seems intact), so the upload kind of worked. However, the mysql database does not list the file in the posts table. So it seems to be an database error?

Does anybody know how to fix this?

files that big are just too large for media library uploads. Upload via FTP, as you’ve done, and use the plugin “add from server” to link that file into the media library.

    Hi @sterndata,

I installed the plugin und uploaded the file via ftp. However, using the plugin to add the file to the media library doesn’t work for some reason.

I can see the file in the add from server menu and the plugin tells me, importing the file worked. But it still won’t show up in the library, as well as in the posts table.

Could this be an error in the sql procedure or the databse itself?
