MagPie get’s the RSS feed and and outputs it, it does not, however, put it into WordPress.

What do you mean, “put it into WordPress”? It outputs it with two simple lines of php…put those lines where you want them to appear on a WordPress page, no?

I want them to be posts in my not very blog like blog.

I think I’ll modifiy /wp-admin/import-rss.php to do this for me…

Check https://laughingmeme.org/archives/002203.html – it does what you want. You need to enter the feeds you want into an array- can assign a category to them if you wish- and it will pick up cats declared in the feed. I had it working with a nightly build- did a nice job of automatically inserting feed items as weblog articles. Did ok with rss1 and 2.
