    Hi there,
I use the enfold theme and once I activate the advance layout buider the generation of a short code doesnt work anymore.

so i always copy and paste the shortcode, but I wonder whta is the link-id for? is it possible to have the same link_id in multiple shortcodes due to copy paste?

moreover I always add additionall asins via copy paste to the shortcode, is that okay as well?

    thanks for clarification

  • With the theme problem, I can’t help you, but maybe with the other two questions.

The link ID’s are there for analytical purposes. If you give each link an individual ID you can later on track which links the users clicked to finally make a purchase. That way you can see if for example text links are more effective than buttons or pictures.

About the ASINS. You can manually add ASINS only in those templates that are able to display several products at once (such as the product carousel for example). However, those templates have a maximum number of displayable products(e.g. 10 with the prodcut carousel). If you exceed that, the template will not display any product.

    Dear @gorilla19,

Since we don’t see any response from you, we assume that your issue is fixed by upgrading to v1.4.10 of the plugin released 4 weeks back on September 13th, 2017.

Link-codes are for analytical purposes and you should not use same link-codes in the different shortcodes. Use the link code that is generated during shortcode creation after clicking on “Add Shortcode” button.
