Tracking #hash in carousel as pageview

  • Hi Alin!

    Is it possible to track images in a carousel slideshow as a pageview? Example carousel.php/#1 and carousel.php/#2 will become 2 pageviews.

    GADWP has this capability, but requires a link click (a user interaction to do so). If we’re not talking about a manual user action, it won’t be possible without a custom tracking code.

    Yes, it’s with user interaction ie: click left/right button or in the case of mobile, swipe left or right. It’s not automatic slideshow carousel.

    Is the option within the plugin or must there be added code to the plugin?

    Try to enable track fragment identifiers, hashmarks (#) in URI links from Google Analytics -> Tracking Code -> Events Tracking screen and see how it goes. It really depends on how the sliding buttons are designed and won’t probably work for mobile swipe unless you add a custom script to handle that.
