I’m using Simple Membership plugin. The latest version has an incomplete translation file for the Dutch language, so I tried to add translation entries with ‘advanced editing’ enabled. When i hit the + button in the translations list nothing happens. However when I hit the + button in the Headers list an empty entry is added.

    Why can’t I add a translation entry?

There was a bug I missed when removing the useless metadata editing. It’s fixed now, check for a 1.4.2 update.

Thanks. I can add entries now, but they are not saved to the translation file. Once you hit “save” and the page reloads the added entry is GONE.

Okay that’s strange. Are you able to open up Inspector on your browser and check if there are any errors in the Console tab? It makes no sense that it failed to write to the file, more likely a bug with displaying the editor.

    Hi Doug!

I have an issue with permanent saving of edits. After I translate word, I hit Save and then Sync. Translation appears on site with No problem. But after a while, next day it returns to defaults that were before translation. What am I doing wrong/

That’s odd. The plugin saves the translations to another location, and if it detects the original has been changed (e.g. by an update) it would notify you but (if I recall correctly) not revert to the updated original.
