Does this feature actually work as it appears that when i click on the tab it shows that i have 39000 products without SKUs but there is no titles for the products in the title field and no listing status

Just loads of empty fields with the occasional sku for products that i have added

If i click on an empty field with no SKU or Title and then “bulk generate new SKUs”, there is a delay and then it just jumps to the inventory tab (odd), and doesnt create an SKU for the unknown product(unknown because there is no title)

This also happens if i search for a title, it just jumps to the inventory tab

    Widows 10
    Google chrome

    Cheers

    Hello albertramsbottom.

Yes, this feature works. I just tested it myself again and it worked perfectly. We also haven’t had any users contact us about the generator not working. I suspect there is some issue with the server generating that much data as you have several more products than we recommend using. 39,000 is quite a lot of listings and we don’t recommend users to use more than 10,000 +/- some depending on server configuration.

    Kind regards,
    John

    Hi

    Thanks for that.
I have a couple of comments, one i dont understand why the titles are not appearing for any listings? using the SKU generator?

Also 30000 listings are actually only 919 items with 260 t-shirts with 65 variations each so I dont think that is a great deal of listings. I suspect that in the future we will have 100s of thousands!

So what i have done is download WooCommerce Product SKU Generator, which works great

I listed a product with variations on Amazon just fine but during an update I accidentally re-positioned one of the attributes below another in the edit product screen. I.e. I had size and the colour and accidentally dragged colour ended up with colour and then size.

The SKU generator works by appending these attributes with SKU in order they are set in the edit product page.

I updated Amazon and it stated that it had done with warnings for all 66 variations:

The child SKU (‘MTSFOTLPW354-large-burgandy’) could not be added to parent SKU (‘MTSFOTLPW354’) because another SKU (‘MTSFOTLPW354-burgandy-large’) has the same variation attributes ([“size_name”,”color_name”]) and is already associated with the parent SKU.

I guessed what had happened and re-ordered them so the product variation SKUs matched those in Amazon, i.e.colour-size, rather than as above size-colour, but I am still getting the same error

Could it be that your Amazon plugin gets its SKU’s from its own table rather than the woocommerce product table? As I cannot for the life of me get this to update, whatever I see in the woocommerce product edit screen or for that matter in the WP-lister, listings page???

Every sku matches, in Amazon inventory (MTSFOTLPW354-burgandy-large), in woocommerce products page ( andMTSFOTLPW354-burgandy-large) in the Amazon listings page (MTSFOTLPW354-burgandy-large)

But it still throws the warning above

And yes burgandy is spelt wrong but matched the way I originally spelt it ??

    sorry

    Hello albertramsbottom.

In order to be able to say anything about this we would need to examine it on your site. So you would need to open a ticket about this so we can examine it.

Also 30000 listings are actually only 919 items with 260 t-shirts with 65 variations each so I dont think that is a great deal of listings. I suspect that in the future we will have 100s of thousands!

Variations count as a listing, so yes, that would still be 30,000 listings. If you are planning on having that many listings you really should look for another solution. That is far too many listings for WP-Lister.

Could it be that your Amazon plugin gets its SKU’s from its own table rather than the woocommerce product table? As I cannot for the life of me get this to update, whatever I see in the woocommerce product edit screen or for that matter in the WP-lister, listings page???

No, that wouldn’t be it because WP-Lister does pull the SKU from the WC product’s SKU field.

I would likely be able to say more about this if I could examine the feed by you sending me the feed URL and login credentials to examine the listing profile settings. So I would advise you to open a new ticket for this issue as well so I can have a look.

    Kind regards,
    John
