Always doing one or two files and then spitting out “Internal error Not Found” on the Bulk Optimization file list.

We’ve got 19,000 files we need to do, we’ve been during it for nearly 24 hours and it’s only completed 600-700.

Sometimes it seams to keep compressing on in the background, but NOT updating the results page, maybe for 10-20 files, but I let it run overnight and it only did less than 100 files.

At this rate it will take us a 33 days of me sitting on the Bulk Optimization making sure I restart it everything 15 minutes.

Was on PHP7.1, downgraded to 5.6 to see if that would help, didn’t seam to do anything, increase memory allocation for PHP, again didn’t seam to help.

    What am I doing wrong?

This definitely doesn’t seem right. Optimising a single image can take anywhere between a few seconds and a minute, but anything more is very rare and only occurs on extremely large images. We have responded to your support email to request some more details. Hopefully we can sort it out together with you!

We managed to get thru the the files.

    (a) the automatic bulk email still kept stalling but less frequently. Same error, “Internal error Not Found”.

    (b) using the COMPRESS link in the media library worked just fine, I did have to click this link 3,000 times but it got done.

unclear where the problem is, we’ve running latest wordpress and a genesis framework theme.

love the product and it shaved 45% off of our file size overall, needless to say the main culprit has not been give a lesson on how to shrink his files before uploading.

    Hi Paul,

Thanks for your update. We have just released a new version of the WordPress plugin that hopefully solves a few issues with the bulk optimization. You should be able to update to version 2.2.5 soon. This version should no longer stop on errors during bulk optimization. Maybe you can give it a try and tell us what you think. Thanks for your patience!

FYI – Came here for the same issue a month later. ERGO it is still a problem:

    “Internal error Not Found”

    Oh well. Que sera sera.

    Dear T Panda,
I am also getting this error:
    “Internal error
    Not Found”

It seems fairly hit and miss.

Can you confirm this is an error on your side?
Do I have to run the process again?
I am a paid up member.
    Thanks!

    Hi rpb1001,

This is odd indeed! From the screenshot it seems as if some of the images are not getting loaded from your media library. Can you please send us the link to your website? We might be able to figure out if some images are not being stored in the default media folder.

If possible can you please send us an email to [email protected] and someone will assist you further.
