  • This is a beta, so you either need to uninstall the old one first or write over your directory with the new files.

Please back up! This is not a live version, it’s a test, only.

Any suggestions in fixing the email in 2.0 with wp 4.75

Did you edit the new email settings? There are now more fields and things have changed.

I have put 3 days into the 2.0 version. I am scared to lose the work I did…. No I am still using 2.0 – Anyway to update to a newer version and not lose my settings – I have added over 100 rooms and 20 branches

I would wait until it’s official and you can upgrade from the repository. That link is, again, to a beta test version that isn’t official. It’s there for testing, so please don’t use it on your live site!

Understand totally. Any suggestions to get the email feature working ?

You have configured the email on the email page and testing doesn’t send? Have you tried checking the Reply-to method and tested again?

Correct – I have tried Multiple email addresses – uncheck and check option

I noticed that I am running 1.67 Also if that has anything to do with it . I am ready to go live minus the email function….I have checked my servers also. They show no sign of sending or recv- but I have contact forms that work fine using the MAIL BANK plug in

1.6.7 is the latest live version.

Do you have access to server email to see if things were deferred or if there was an error?

Without seeing the email setup page, I’m not sure I can be more help. If you can send a screenshot as a direct message on our Facebook page so your information isn’t listed publicly, I could take a look, but I don’t want those email addresses being put up publicly if we don’t have to!

As far as using the newer version, if you back up your older version Book a Room plugin folders and database, you can try removing the old version’s folder and dropping in the unzipped test version. The new version uses the same DB with the addition of a new table so if you have to go back to the previous version, you should be okay.

But, again, back up everything! THis is still being tested and there have been a few bug fixes already.

I installed it on another server and it worked fine. Any suggestions on a tool that can move the settings from one server to another ?

    If you look in the database, everything in your WordPress Database for Book a room starts with {your prefix}_bookaroom_{tablename}

If you copy those tables and move them into the other server, it should work.

This is for the data tables only (so things like rooms, amenities, reservation data)! This doesn’t move over all the options as some area saved in the WP options table. You will have to check your settings carefully and make sure the base settings are correct.

One last thing I hope – My registration page has Step1 2 3 4 Vertical – Your demo page has step 1 2 3 4 Horizontal and with a small calendar – How does one do this

There is a setting for Narrow or Wide/Responsive in the general settings.
