• Wow, I have even f-11’ed my screen thinking it was not displaying everything. I used the automatic upgrade (heart’s still pumpin’), and the download backup zip is empty..interesting, thought I should include that info.
I truly can’t find anything. I had the plugin…Header 2 or something like that…the one that made all the links above for plugins and Everything. I can’t even see that anywhere. I installed the blog a couple of months ago and was just now ready to start using it, but thought I should upgrade first…..wish I hadn’t.
Where did everything go? I don’t even know how to explain it.
    Help would be SO appreciated.
    Thanks much.

Just to be safe I just checked at the host and all my plugins and themes are there.

Same problem here. Upgraded with automatic upgrade plugin and it worked as usually (so far – with 2.6.x) After that – there’s only one drop down menu “New Post”. Not even a way to get back to Dashboard from any other admin page…

Thanks in advance for some advice!

Well, it didn’t take me much time… I deleted all (except akismet and hello dolly) plugins and now it looks muuuch better ??

I guess it was our Light Menus plug-in which caused trouble.

    Regards,

    Marcin

Did you deactivate your plugins before upgrading? If not, you may want to do that and see if your site comes back…the following video may help.

It’s done automatically by Automatic Upgrade Plugin (at least as far as I know…)

    Automatic Upgrade Plugin

There seems to be more than a few problems reported by people using that plugin. You may need to do a manual upgrade to recover.

Yes, that would be more reliable I guess.

But after getting rid of all additional plugins everything works fine. So maybe it was one of the plugins that was messing things up – not the way Automatic Upgrade did its work.

    Hello Figaro, zielvis,
Liked the video and actually understood it, but took the easy way out and deleted ONLY ‘lighter menus’ (thanks, zielvis for the memory check!) and all is well…at least so far as I can tell.
    Thank you both so much.
