WordPress stats, can I expand?

My wp install is at domain.com/blog/ instead of at the root. I use my root as a splash page. So most of my referrals come from domain.com instead of where the user really came from. Is there any way to work around this so that wp uses my root as part of it’s stats and recognizes it as internal and sees where the hits are really coming from?
