Drop Menu Pipe Not Working |

I have a drop menu using pipes so visitors can select a user to email. The form seems to work but it throws a configuration error in the mail setup. When i enter the field into the ‘To’ text box it tells me there is a config error and if I use the form it doesn’t do anything.
Has anyone else experienced this?
(Drop down setup based on CF7 instruction)
