    Hi,

How can this plugin restrict the visibility of all child pages of the chosen group under the parent page without setting each page?

    Example:
About Us (set to administrators group only)
    — About Child page (automatically set to administrators group also)
    — About Child page (automatically set to administrators group also)
    — About Child page (automatically set to administrators group also)
    — About Child page (automatically set to administrators group also)
    — About Child page (automatically set to administrators group also)
    — About Child page (automatically set to administrators group also)
    and so on….

    Thanks
    David

    Hi David,

A parent page won’t restrict a child page, among the reasons to have it like this is for performance.

But you can easily protect all by simply using the bulk edit dropdown. On Pages, check the boxes for the parent page and its child pages, then select Edit under the Bulk Actions dropdown and under Groups select Add restriction and choose the group(s) in the field beside it, hit Update to apply.

Another option is to use a post type that supports categories or tags, for example I’ve built the Documentation plugin (free) which you can use for this purpose. Combine it with Groups Restrict Categories (premium plugin) and you can assign your parent and child pages to a category and impose the group restriction on the category.

I hope this helps a bit ?? I’ll mark this as resolved but please feel free to ask further if needed.

    Cheers
