I’ve tried 3 test websites on the same hosting (Rochen) and I’m always experiencing the problem.

Now I’ve set up a fresh Softaculous install and I’ve installed only the Cerber plugin. In Cerber Dashboard I’ve cleared the White IP Access List, set a Custom login URL and disabled wp-login.php.

wp-login attempts correctly return a Not Found Error.

However wp-admin attempts redirect to a login page (where the link contains the custom login I’ve set (…[MyCustomLoginString]/?redirect_to=…) and this page is a working login page.

If you need I can send privately URL and login access to check.

I’m getting the 404 Not Found page when I go to https://www.andras.info/wp-admin .. are you sure you cleared the cache?

Thanks, but you have tried the wrong link. The website is under the wp directory. You have to try https://www.andras.info/wp/wp-admin.

@tropauer You have to check: Disable automatic redirecting to the login page when /wp-admin/ is requested by an unauthorized request in the Main Settings.

Thank you very much Gioni! It was my fault to overlook this option in settings thinking that enabling a custom login url is enough.

Now it works for the www links:
https://www.andras.info/wp/wp-admin
https://www.andras.info/wp/wp-admin

The non-www links are still redirected to the login page:
https://andras.info/wp/wp-admin
https://andras.info/wp/wp-admin

Should I modify also the .htaccess file to make it work for the non-www links?
(That I should modify anyway also for Google to redirect https://www, https:// and https:// all to https://www version.)

Now the .htaccess is modified to redirect all links to the https://www version but the problem persists.

Problem solved ??

After changing/fixing code in .htaccess to redirect all pages to their https://www versions everything is working fine now.
