I was just at my website yesterday and everything was fine. My other domains under my same host are all fine and working properly. The only thing I can think of that I did was update wp through Fantastic deluxe through bluehost. But I did this for all my domains and like I said they are all fine. Can someone help?

  • check the wp-config file in your blog’s folder, and see if the database details are still correct (database name, username, etc)

I am curious if you spoke to someone at Bluehost (as I tried to call today and they are closed). I had a similar problem this morning and about a month ago — and I think it is a Bluehost issue.

I believe that if someone tries to install WP when the screen you were showing is up, it will generate a “Hello World” post, along with a sample comment and extra default links for your blogroll. Check users to make sure that an extra admin account hasn’t been set up. This is very annoying.

Fantastico doesn’t always get the upgrades right, especially if you didn’t disable the themes and plugins before running the upgrade. Fortunately Fantastico makes a backup before doing the upgrade and provides instructions on how to restore that backup. You can also check to see if Bluehost has a backup which you can restore to, after checking your wp-config.php, of course.

Also, I received this email back from Bluehost support when I asked about the security issue because an admin account will get set up if someone tries to install when that screen is up.

    Hello,

Unfortunately this problem occurs when mysql is restarted or your database has a crash. There are a number of ways to help protect your blog from this kind of error.

Take a look at the following link and let us know if you need any more assistance.
