I figured out how to change the background color of the Header menu and some of the colors on the page. I still need to know how to change the color of the Categories when they show with my posts, the “continue reading” at the end of each post and the Subscribe button in my sidebar.

    How did you do it?

    Hi Corinneo,

For fiddling out things like that I use Firefox. Additionally, I installed Chris Pedrick’s “Web Developer” toolbar.

Open the webpage and inspect the element on the page, you would like to change.

With the web developer toolbar you will be able to find out the name/class/id of the relevant element.

You will need to change your style.css accordingly.

It is also good practice to create a child theme and apply the necessary changes in the child scheme’s css files in order not to loose your customisations on the next template update.

    J?rn.
