• I host my videos on Amazon s3 and embed it directly on my site. Hence the video is played with the default video player of wordpress and when I right click on it, many other options including download, video link appear.. Is there any way to hide these features? If not, then any way I can completely disable right click on my videos? (videos only).

Note: Considering other variables for my site, I don’t wanna change Amazon s3 as server and I don’t wanna use any plugin, player or shortcode. Maybe I am looking for a snippet, I don’t know!

    I am using Customizr theme.

Disabling right-click is effective in stopping content theft…if we could travel back in time to 2007. It’s 2017, and every modern browser has developer tools that provide direct access to all assets displayed on a page. There is nothing you can do to stop someone from using those tools to save a local copy of any page asset.

There are many legitimate reasons to use right-click. Your disabling it would stop those legitimate uses, but those intent on stealing your content will be unaffected.

I get your point. I won’t be able to hide it from those who wanna steal. I just wanna make the download option unavailable for normal users who won’t bother using developer tools. I sell online courses, doesn’t make any sense if anyone just downloads videos as easily as refreshing a website.

@yipiash Please don’t use Developing with WordPress for these topics. I’ve moved it to Fixing WordPress.
