Incompatible with BBPress?

  • Is this plugin compatible with BBPress?
    I just installed User Role Editor 4.35.3 on a website that uses the newest version of BBPress (2.5.13). It is not showing any of the forum roles in the dropdown on wp-admin/users.php?page=users-user-role-editor.php. When I try to add those roles (e.g. bbp_participant) it throws an error that the role already exists. I’m guessing this is a bug, as there is some BBPress-related code in your plugin.

    Free version of URE ignores bbPress roles, excludes them from the processing by design.
    bbPress does not store user roles at the database as WordPress itself does. bbPress creates its roles from the code on a fly for every user request. So you have to apply the additional efforts to support them. Full support for the bbPress roles was added to the Pro version of User Role Editor.
