Unwanted content on “featured image” of post

    The featured image of all the posts on my site have turned into YouTube videos that I have embedded elsewhere. could it be possible that a plugin that I am using is somehow ONLY affecting my posts

  • Its hard to tell what is happening. I would suggest you to first deactivate all installed plugins and check whether you get the desired featured images to appear. If yes, then start activating the plugins one by one. If there is a plugin causing the issue you will be able to find it out.

    Which plugin was causing the issue?

    @silverks It was a plugin called “Popup Maker” by “WP Popup Maker”, but it was actually my fault instead of the plugin. So what I did was mess with the popup maker’s “Extra Selector” functionality that uses classes to sort where the popup should be shown. And me being inexperienced, I put a class that changed the code of all my featured images to show that popup… really not sure what class I entered.

    I just hope it doesn’t happen again, because all the featured images that got affected by the popup are stuck with that popup. Thank god my site is in it’s testing stage
