Using www. prefix on wordpress multisite subdirectory structure

Hi everyone, I am installing a new wordpress multisite network site (subdirectory structure) and would like to use the www. url structure but there is a warning that states “We recommend you change your siteurl to domain.com before enabling the network feature. It will still be possible to visit your site using the www prefix with an address like https://www.domain.com but any links will not have the www prefix.”

My question is what kind of problems can I expect using www. in a multisite with subdirectories? Will this be major hassle or is something relatively easy to solve? Is there anyone with any experience in creating a wordpress multisite with the www. prefix?

Would appreciate any help or advice on this.
