• I just attempted to upgrade to 2.7 I get the following when I try to run the install from the usual admin login:

Warning: require(../wp-load.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/www/vhosts/gmasview.com/httpdocs/wp-admin/upgrade.php on line 18

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘../wp-load.php’ (include_path=’.:’) in /var/www/vhosts/gmasview.com/httpdocs/wp-admin/upgrade.php on line 18

My site is off-line. Can anyone tell me what the warning & error mean?

  • There should be no need to run an upgrade.

If you have your original wp-contents folder and your original wp-config.php file that is all you need. Back up anything else you may need in there and just write over everything.

Just delete wp-admin and wp-includes folder and move all files over.

It may be too late to do this since you ran an upgrade but I am not sure.
