Cache All files in wp-content/uploads and /themes folder

  • Not all of my files in wp-content/uploads and wp-content/themes are browser caching when I run GtMetric. I have double checked all the settings and added the folder paths in CDN Custom file list. Any suggestions on how to fix?

  • I had the same problem. For me, it turned out to be the Google Page Speed caching tool that was turned on in my cpanel. For some reason it was preventing longer cache expiration times. When I turned that off, the browser caching started working and the site loaded faster. My server (Siteground) told me https://tools.pingdom.com is a better tool for testing than GT Metrix. Don’t know if that is true, thought I’d pass along the info.
