permanently deleted media still showing up

I have recently taken over admin for a preschool website. While doing some cleaning up, we found that a HIGHLY sensitive document has been searchable to the public! Our parents are panicking. I have gone and unattached and then permanently deleted the document from our media library but when I search for it on Google, it is still there!! We are not using a cache plug in so I don’t know what else to do. This is a HUGE priority for us. The document is a pdf that was taken off the site last February. Please help!
