Share buttons not appearing on first page load

  • I am using the AddToAny share buttons plugin on my site. I have set it to not appear on Pages but have a widget defined with the share buttons included. This widget is used on all page footers.

    The problem I have is that when a page is loaded for the first time the share buttons do not appear, however if I refresh the page then they do appear. This problem occurs regardless of which browser I use.

    How do I fix this?

    What is the site’s URL?

    That kind of thing can happen when content is loaded via Ajax without firing the necessary post-load event.

    Troubleshoot to find the cause by toggling off any obvious “Ajax” theme/site options you might have enabled, and try temporarily switching to one of the default “Twenty” themes and deactivating all other plugins.

    Thanks for the clue. I switched off the Ajax option in the theme and the buttons load first time. It also happened to fix a number of other issues with the theme.
