    Hi,

I installed all the WordPress files in the directory

    (my hosting account)/nickeverest/nickeverestblog/

I did this on advice of my mentor in case I wanted my blog to be a subdirectory of my domain in future, but I did not at that time realise there may be implications!!

So my problem is that my domain nickeverest.com currently points at the subdirectory /nickeverest/nickeverestblog/ ie my blog’s URL is nickeverest.com

One year on I now need to add non-WP pages to my site and want to point nickeverest.com to the directory /nickeverest/ but my research indicates that doing this will cause issues since my blog URL will change to nickeverest.com/nickeverestblog.

Can anyone advise how I deal with this please? I would like to keep the existing database location if possible.

    Thanks In Advance

Edit for clarity – I am assuming I will not be moving .ht access and/or index.php to the root because I want my site index to be an html non-WP page
