Text Editor options appear behind main window or not at all

  • Hi. Since the 4.8.1 update, popup options in the main WP text editor are appearing BEHIND the main window (e.g., shortcodes, advanced hyperlink, etc.) If I close the main editor, the options window appears briefly behind it and then closes. Also, the drop down menus do not work (e.g., to set the text as H1, H2, etc) in that they don’t reveal the menu when clicked.

    I have deactivated, re-installed plugins to no avail.

    Is anyone else experiencing this? Any thoughts?

    If it matters (and I know nothing!) the message (when I click the Unyson Shortcode button (I disabled this previously to no effect) according to the developer console is:

    I’m having the exact same problem after the upgrade. I’m using Beaver Builder theme, if that makes a difference. Please update if you find a solution! Thanks…
    BTW, I’m sure previous poster knows what he’s talking about, but it was all Greek to me…
