    Hello.

    1) I’m using CPT, and managing the access rights to those thru user caps: great.

    2) I’m using comments on those objects, with a slightly devious purpose: logging changes and activity related to this custom post. That is also great !

    3) slight security problem: a number of users can see those comments, even if they cannot see the commented custom type post.

    Is there is a way to associate the same capabilities requirements to the comment than the commented object? Or anyway to solve issue 3) ?

    For what it’s worth, I found a workaround using the ‘the_comments’ filters. However, the mentioned numbers of comments don’t match, and I still think that would be a valuable native function.
