Lost admin abilities after manual upgrade to 2.7

  • Hi !

    I just tried to update my old 2.6.2 (I think) version (it was the last one before 2.7) to 2.7 using the upgrade extended help…

    Now it all works fine except that I have no access at all to my admin’s panel !
    It keeps telling me that I don’t have the required authorisation to acess this pages.

    Note that after the install I tried to solve this problem by setting the authorisations for all the files in the folder wp-admin to 755.

    Please help me because I really don’t know what to do now…

  • Try a few of these things –

    Check that all the files have been uploaded properly by getting a fresh copy of the release zip and uploading it over the top of your files.

    Clear brower cookies and cache.

    Temporarily empty your wp-content/plugins directory (either move the files or download them and delete)

    I tried a new install on the same host (I didn’t delete the one I’m trying to repair). It worked until I actived DB-Backup…then it did the same…

    I’m now trying to see if all plugins do this. First I’ll install the ones that are said compatible with 2.7 (even if this doesn’t include important ones such as akismet)

    EDIT 1 : My-Page-Order works !
    EDIT 2 : Smart Youtube works !
    EDIT 3 : Statpress Reloaded works but I can’t find the menu ! ??
    EDIT 4 : Tinymce Advanced works !
