• Hi @xnau,

This looks a great database, however how does it fit in with the WordPress users database? Does it link to it at all please?

To clarify what my requirement would be:

Existing users on a family history site want to be able to find other members that have the same family history interests (eg. what surnames they’re researching from the past)

Members using the website must be able to:
    1. Find members (specifically members’ membership numbers) with the same interests, e.g.:

      Surname
Date range (From date: and To Date:)
      Location

    2. Go to Contact Members page and via an email form contact the member using their membership number.
    3. Also be able to update their own Interests at any point:

      Surname
Date range (From date: and To Date:)
      Location
Plus update their email, name etc.

    Constraints:
Ideally to contact other members, only the membership number can be used and not their email address – due to data protection.
Users create their account using wp_users as MemberPress uses this (username, password, user email, etc).

    Further requirements:
    1. In addition, the Member Secretary needs to know what’s been updated/added by Members within their own Members Interests area.
    2. Website administrators must be able to:

      add people
      edit members interests

Please advise if this is possible. I can pay for this functionality to be developed! Thanks.
