    Hello,

I was having an issue with the WP toolbar on the editor disappearing and the word count was 0.
I tracked it down to wp-hide-posts, with this JS error:

    wp-hide-post-admin.js:2TypeError: $ is not a function. (In '$(".chosen-select")', '$' is undefined)

When I disabled the plugin, the toolbar appeared again.

However I need the plugin to be activated. So what is the issue here?

Hi @rmahfoud, I know what you mean, but again when I disable your plugin, then the toolbar appears. So something else seems to be up.

I’m happy to give you access. Is there a way to contact you privately?

Don’t repeat that here, plugin authors risk getting into trouble in these forums when they access user’s systems.

This is what’s posted when they make that request or accept.

I’ve deleted your offer to login to your user’s site. I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials on these forums.

Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the plugins team.

    So please don’t anymore, OK?
