Do I need to uninstall existing pixel/tag?

  • If I already have the Facebook pixel installed (via Google tag manager), do I need to uninstall the existing pixel tag before setting up Pixel Caff to avoid any issues like double counting?

    I would prefer not to delete everything I have set up in tag manager.

    Hi,

    yes, you have to deactivate the main pixel from tag manager unfortunately, there isn’t any way to not fire the main pixel from Pixel Caffeine at the moment.

    I don’t know exactly how is configured in tag manager, but if possible you could simply remove the initialization of pixel and avoid to fire the main “PageView” pixel. The other things you have (if any) could stay there.
