Would it be useful to move that emoji code that WordPress dumps in the head into the Autoptimize JS file? I am thinking a check box in the JS settings to “aggregate inline emoji JS”

    Thanks.

hmm, I prefer to disable emoji’s, but if you don’t; aggregating the inline emoji JS can be done if “also aggregate inline Js” is activated ??

    hope this helps,

I might just end up disabling them like you said. The problem I have with aggregating all the inline js is that I sometimes use test script inline like New Relic and don’t want that caching. So I thought an option to just inline the WP emoji script would be the solution. I find it is so strange that WP dumped that script into head in the first place.

well, “aggregate inline JS” and then exclude those scripts you don’t want cached (and those that would kill AO’s cache)?
