We’ve been enjoying Nextcellent, however after updating to 1.9.32 we are unable to update the ‘Alt & Title Text/Description’ fields.
We get an ‘Update succesful’ message at page top, but the changes are gone. They did not save.

I have the same problem. Thanks much for you efforts to fix it. I’m anxiously awaiting the fix, because I have some errors on my photos that I can’t fix right now without re-importing the gallery, which is time consuming, and also difficult since I’ve already published it. Thanks again.

For 1.9.32 you can use these both files
https://slabihoud.de/software/archives/wordpress/1_9_32fix.zip

Unzip and overwrite
/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/nextcellent-gallery-nextgen-legacy/admin/manage/class-ngg-abstract-image-manager.php
and
/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/nextcellent-gallery-nextgen-legacy/admin/class-ngg-options.php

It does not fix all problems. So the button in the editor still does not work and also the image upload is (half) broken (though you can use the old upload manager).

It is a quick fix and should not be used for ages. Hope the author will release a fixed version soon.

Hi,

The quicker for me to solve this problem is to change the alt and text directly in the database !

Everything is in “wp_ngg_pictures”

But please I would prefer an update iand stop going to database each time I add a gallery : I have 730 galleries and nearly 9000 pictures, I need this plugin up to date !

I reported this issue months ago so I’d also appreciate a fix. I’ve been staying on 1.9.27 for this reason.
