Media Lib Import not complete – Will reimport from a dif URL create duplicates?

Just migrated my site https://cinfullysimple.com and used WP Importer to import export posts from old site. I thought it all came through ok but now since I’ve moved the site to the live server URL, I seem to have lost images in posts (and consequently in media lib). I can no longer go back and get media from the old site – it no longer exists, but I have a site that was in dev that has most of the same pics in it.

SO, If I export that media lib and import it into my new site (they would have diff urls) my assumption is that I will end up with a ton of duplicate photos. Is this correct? If so, is there a solution or a workaround?
