When creating a user in a single-site install, there is a box added by User Role Editor that allows me to assign multiple additional roles at the time I create the user. This works very well.

In a multisite install, the same box appears on the page, but does not appear to function. When I add an existing user, or create a new user, they are only assigned the single role I selected in the dropdown as per WordPress default. User Role Editor does not appear to assign any additional roles no matter what I try.

Currently the only workaround is to edit the user after they have been created/added, but this requires permission to edit network users.

Does User Role Editor support adding multiple roles while creating/adding users in a multisite install? If so, is there a bug preventing me from doing so? If not, should the Additional Roles fields not appear in multisite?

Thank you for this bug report.

URE should assign multiple roles under multisite too, by idea, but it does not in fact. user-new.php page has duplicated controls related to the assigning additional roles (1 for existing user, 1 for a new one), both with the same ID, so JavaScript part does not work correctly. I will develop a fix for the next update.

I submitted a fix to development version 4.35.3. I will appreciate if you find a time to test it.

Yes, the development version you linked fixes the issue. I assume this fix will be applied to the Pro version as well (as it shares the same problem)?

Thanks so much for the quick turnaround!

Sure. I will update a core included into a Pro version too.
    Thanks for your help!
