Edit a user profile: 302 Redirect

  • Hi there, I’m getting an 302 redirect whilst trying to access the edit user profile link using a custom role:

    https://site/user/?profiletab=main&um_action=edit

    When I am logged in as an Admin it works fine but when I am logged in as a user with my custom role (Editor) it does not work even though “Can edit other member accounts?” is selected in the UM role manger. In addition, when I navigate to a user profile I can see the settings cog, am able to delete / log in as the user but “edit profile” link simple doesn’t navigate through to the edit profile tab (causes a 302 error and redirects back to the users profile).

    I am assuming this is a permissions error? I’ve tried deactivating my other plugins to no avail. Is there a way around this using a User Role Editor or am I going to need to enforce this capability using a php snippet?

    Hi @thomgiles,

    Do you have the latest 1.3.87 version of the Ultimate member plugin installed?
    Does it happen on the default WP theme?
    Have you synced your community role with WP role?
