Search Bar

  • when search bar is click, the sentence “type keyword & hit enter to search” slides in from the left, and i have to click the cursor in the bar again to type. how do i remove the entire sentence, and also enable direct search typing upon the first click?

  • Removing the sentence would require some css added to your child theme or the css box in the customizer.

    As for the cursor, the reason a cursor is not in place is because the form is initiated via a click after the page has loaded. To have it appear would require a rewrite of the controlling javascript which will in turn take away from the design aspect.
