My wordpress website is down

  • My hoster is hostgator and support team informed me that there are scripts which is causing the issue and I need to contact a developer to fix the issue. Error occured while upating the wordpress 4.8. Please assist me to fix this issue

  • Hi,
    Access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel. At the root directory Find out .maintenance file . Please delete it and check your site . It is just showing maintenance mode issue while upgrading WordPress , It could not updated properly so it went to maintenance mode.

    myphp root file was not working and it is fixed by hostgator support team however when I open the post it is showing htacess issue.

    404: Page Not Found
    This page does not exist
