    I have used the pro version before of your plugin & currently on a site that is in development with the menu I was trying to get the free version to show the menu & its not showing.

    I have tried to hide the menu with: #Top_bar .menu_wrapper & also with just .menu_wrapper

    The link to the site in question is: https://www.verdiproductions.com/sandbox/goodsports/

    It hides all the menus & never ends up showing the responsive menu. Any ideas on if its a theme issue or if I happen to be doing something wrong?

    Hi there,

    Do you have the Only use on Mobile or Shortcode options turned on?

    I can see it installed but it is not outputting the code, do you also have wp_footer() in your footer.php file?

    @peterfeatherstone-1, thank you for your fast reply.

    Show on mobile devices was off (This one is the free version so I can’t turn it on)

    Use shortcode was on. Just turned it off, but now it shows the same original theme menu twice.

    This line appears at the end of footer.php:
    <?php wp_footer(); ?>

    </body>
    </html>

    Hey there,

    Good news, I see it working now. You need to put #Top_bar .menu_wrapper in your CSS of Menu to Hide option. Currently I see that it is #Top_bar #menu which is incorrect.

    @peterfeatherstone-1 thank you for the reply. I did apply what you suggest, but am still having both menus show up & its just a duplicate of the theme menu.

    In my “CSS Selector of Menu to Hide” I have:
    #Top_bar .menu_wrapper

    Hi there,

    I just looked at your site and the theme menu is hidden and my menu shows up fine.

    Glad it is fixed now ??

    All the best

    @peterfeatherstone-1, thank you for your reply. It is sort of working at this point but not fully.

    Did it hide the original menu? Yes.

    However, the menu I have it set to show (media – this was just temporary test menu) is not showing. It is still showing the original theme menu, regardless of which menu I select in: responsive menu > initial setup > menu to use

    Hi there,

    Do you have anything under the Theme Location option as this will overwrite the Menu to Use option?

    Also, do you have any functions, plugins, themes etc. that overwrite menu functionality (i.e- have you tried it with all other plugins and the theme disabled)?

    I’m not sure what more I can advise without looking at your actual admin area as if it is all selected properly it should be working.

    Nothing that I could see in the theme location area was overwriting it.

    I did deactivate all the plugins & theme, switched to twenty seventeen & it seems to be working. Switched everything back & the menu is now displaying with the theme I was running.

    I will check it all more just to verify, but definitely seems like plugin and/or theme issue at this point.

    Thank you for your help.

    Hey there,

    In that case enable the theme first with all plugins disabled and if it breaks it then you know its the theme.

    Same with plugins, enable them one by one until it breaks and then you will know the issue.

    Please let me know how you get on.

    Peter,
    Once I reactivated everything the menu has continue to work. Even after some testing, I haven’t been able to break the menu.

    I am going to apply the same settings to the live site & see what happens. But for some reason deactivating all the plugins & switching themes & then re-activating it all allowed it to work without issue.

    Hey there,

    I’m not sure why that would make a difference unless you have some caching plugins installed that got cleared out.

    Let me know if you have any further issues.

    I agree, seems odd. I will see what happens when I apply it to live later. If I spot any issues that pinpoint anything I will post it back here later for the forum.

    Hey there,

    Perfect and thanks for letting me know.

    The only other thing I noticed is that my submenu links are not showing up on the mobile menu. I have 6 main links & all of the sublinks don’t load. Even though I have the submenu tab all setup in the settings area.

    Is there a reason why this would happen? I deactivated the theme & plugins & the issue still occurred when I did that as well.

    Hi there,

    I can’t think of any specific reason unless you have the Depth option set to 1.

    Please let me know

    Peter
