Please check for compatibility issues

    There is no link to the image file for any the images that post (screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/dMS4ffN.png). You’ll need to link directly to the media file for Featherlight to work.

    Thanks for the reply its working now,

    earlier i have linked the images through the Add Media> Media Library > ATTACHMENT DISPLAY SETTINGS > Link to – Media File and it was not working

    But after linking the images by clicking on individual images in post and then clicking on the pencil mark button and linking to media file worked.

    Can you please explain why this was happening

    And please can you specify a way how to change default settings so that when a image is added to a post it automatically gets attached to the media file.

    I’m afraid without being able to replicate the issue, I’m not able to explain why it didn’t work previously. Sorry about that.
