• Our php.ini file has everything set to 700m, upload file size and post max size.

I’m trying to add the Yuzo plugin, and the plugin is only 2.7mb. When I try to upload, I get a message: The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini.

huh? there’s a huge gap between 2.7 and 700. I must be missing something.

  • I assume you don’t have access to WHM, so you’ll likely need to contact your server administrator and ask them what the upload_max_filesize is set to.

When I view the php.ini file, it’s set to 700. I looked at the file myself. Is there a similar setting in the hosting manager, separate from the .ini file?

Also, I just tried to manually upload the plugin into the folder and it wouldn’t allow. I suspect there’s a permissions issue. Could that be causing this error message, or would it know that’s a different issue?

Yes, there is a setting within the WHM / server level that sometimes also needs to be adjusted.

Can you let us know what the file permissions are? Most FTP programs should have an option when you right click on the directory to display the options and it’s current settings.

It’s 755 right now. I would’ve thought that gave me access. I’ll just have to talk to our IT admin when he gets back Monday, I suspect.
